When I work with you, I make a sincere effort to understand exactly what you need and in what format.  I will describe the process of accessing records and getting results.

My Experience

My Experience

I am a registered researcher at the archives facilities; however, I am an independent contractor and I work with you as my client to help you to get through the complicated process of finding records and making copies.  I have been doing this for over ten years and I am usually able to find and copy the records that you need.

My Experience

Each situation is unique.  One-size-fits-all approaches will usually not work to assist you in meeting your research requirements.  I will work with you to understand what you need, your time-frame, and your budget for the research and retrieval services you require.

Images and scans ending up in digital files will normally be sent to you as files attached to email.  Large files will be loaded into a Dropbox and you will be sent an invitation to download.  High volume of digital data can be put on a CD or DVD and mailed or shipped to you. I do not do paper copies with copy machine but I use a digital camera to make digital copies of pages in a paper document.

About Me

I am retired from a fifty year career of military service as a Naval Officer, computer engineering, business consulting and research.  I have been working with computer systems since 1958, have lunched several successful software products, and been responsible for the research and development of several large world-wide systems.

In retirement I keep my mind and body active by continuing my interest in doing research at the National Archives in a variety of subject areas.  Every new research project that I do offers an exciting opportunity to learn something new and you are the beneficiary of my interest in taking on these projects with high energy and interest.
